Enjoy an interesting day out with friends and your camera on Saturday the 6th of August 2016
ITINERARY FOR THE DAY:
We shall be leaving quite early at about 9am from Cardiff, details and confirmation nearer the time.
Stop for coffee at the Riverfront Centre, Newport for a stroll & take some pics of bridges both old and new.
Onward to the Visitor Centre and Newport Transporter Bridge to take us on the gondola across the estuary. The more adventurous among us can climb up and over for £3, otherwise it’s just a £1 each on the day.
Carvery at Blaina Wharf pub restaurant. A most adequate dinner costs under £5 + if you want a drink.
After dinner a chance to walk off all those calories in the peace and tranquillity of the RSPB Wetlands Nature Reserve. Have a browse in the shop, sit in the café or outside with an ice-cream or have a walk-about, maybe a guided tour. Free entry, donations welcomed.
Newport Medieval Ship Centre. The ship was built 60 years before Henry VIII’s Mary Rose, in the Basque country. Hear about the project and the conservation processes and the vision of reassembly for the future. Afternoon tea at the Centre. Free entry, donations welcomed.
It is essential that you forward the money for the bus to me ASAP so I can book it for us. Some of you have already given me a deposit. There are still a few places left on the bus if you want to come. Places are limited so 1st come 1st served. I look forward to our day out together and perhaps someone could make an AV sequence of it for showing later on.
Will do my best to refund monies if you cancel but cannot guarantee this. It all depends on whether I can find someone to take your place on the mini-bus.
Please make a cheque for £16, less any deposit you have already paid, payable to me, Ms P Lloyd and forward the cheque 1st class post to: 66 Whitchurch Road, Heath, Cardiff CF14 3LX.
Best regards and I look forward to seeing you on the day.
